There are many choices for counseling and workshops. However, Erin’s approaches are unique. She is able to combine educational and therapeutic skill sets with personality and warmth within a collaborative approach.

COUNSELING

Erin believes that healing can be achieved by cultivating mindfulness, empowering ourselves through self-awareness, engaging in a constructive and non-judgmental exploration of our relationships, and dedicating time to finding peace and clarity in our complex and chaotic world. 

 

During your sessions with Erin, she aims to create a nurturing environment where you can rediscover joy, achieve a sense of wholeness, and strive for a balanced approach that blends challenge with self-kindness.

WORKSHOPS

Erin's workshops integrate strength-based methodologies with skill-building activities, exercises to boost self-esteem and confidence, and engaging discussions. She recognizes that individuals identifying as women have often been conditioned to prioritize agreeableness, sometimes at the expense of their self-worth, leading them to prioritize others' needs over their own

 

Life events such as returning to work after having a baby, experiencing relationship breakdowns, or facing significant birthdays can often evoke resentment or be 'lost,' leading to self-doubt about one's worthiness. Erin believes workshops focusing on values and goals can help individuals feel grounded, rediscover themselves, and align their current identity to foster authentic connections.

COACHING -VS- COUNSELING

You can engage in personalized emotional-wellness counseling sessions with Erin regardless of whether you participate in the workshops. While anyone is welcome to join a workshop, counseling support is available only to individuals residing in NY or MA due to licensing requirements.

Whether you choose individual counseling or workshops, Erin will support you with nurturing warmth, authenticity, and curiosity. Erin approaches each interaction with thoughtfulness, calmness, authenticity, and a sense of fun. There are no assumptions or judgments. While the choice is yours, Erin can help you decide which option best suits your current needs.

Please note that workshops are not therapy. They are skill-based resources that enable you to reflect at your own pace.

THE WOMAN BEHIND WOOD SORREL WELLNESS

Erin Harrison is the founder and proprietor of Wood Sorrel Wellness. She established WSW after witnessing friends, family, and clients grapple with feelings of inadequacy and a yearning for a more fulfilling life. Some struggled with lingering beliefs from the past, while others sought more effective skills for the future. However, they all found solace in connection and self-reflection.

 

Erin identified an opportunity to leverage her innate ability to connect with others and her coaching studies alongside her counseling expertise. Wanting to provide others with a path to the peace she had discovered, but with less trial, error, and time, Wood Sorrel Wellness was born.
